You can delete your Your Quiet Corner account and everything in it at any time. You don't need to give a reason, and you don't need to ask us.
Open Your Quiet Corner, go to Settings, and choose "Delete everything". You'll be asked to confirm. That's it — your account and all of your data are removed straight away.
Email us at hello@yourquietcorner.co.uk from the email address on your account, and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's really you, delete everything, and email you when it's done. We aim to do this within 7 days and always within 30 days.
Everything we hold about you, including: your conversations with Someone; anything Someone remembered about you; your mood check-ins and reminders; your name, date of birth, location and other profile details; your notification and device records; records of check-ins we sent you; and your login itself.
Deletion is permanent. We cannot recover a deleted account, and neither can you. If you sign up again later, you'll be starting completely fresh — Someone won't remember you.
Once your account is deleted we do not keep a usable copy of your data. Residual copies may remain in our encrypted backups for a short period before they are overwritten in the normal course of operation, and they are not accessible for any other purpose. Where the law requires us to keep a limited record — for example a record of a deletion request itself — we keep only the minimum needed and nothing from your conversations.
